Oh Gee, the indices are so scattered and misplaced.

I have seen enough wannabes to know that this world is rife with those struggling to be cool. Those chaps at the pubs, at coffee joints and malls in the perpetual end elusive pursuit of being cool, may have missed the point as surely as the fish who went on a pilgrimage from the sea in search of the ocean.

Being comfortable in your own skin, whichever skin that may be, being unfettered by the presumptuous, wading where the fastidious would not; just being yourself, is cool.

One need not adduce evidence to prove one is cool. Indeed, the refusal to dignify putrescant comments from other cool wannabes as you have described seated at your table, is cool!!

Seek not the living amongst the dead.

When so much is lost in self-surrender to what in hindsight may have been a losing battle, the question of whether in age and wisdom have we served our better end faithfully does rise in stark mockery of our composure.

Sometimes defeat shall be our serving, for as the world turns, there shall be days that do not belong to us entirely.

But if we are ever to sculpt this life into a harvest field of our desires, defeat will need to be uncrippled.

You can see that winning takes the same fragrances that hung in the air preluding defeat. Both take all from you, and both too, shall return you something for the keeping.

You know that you are going to be okay.

But I trust, that you will not merely look better than you do today, but better than you have ever looked in your life.
